What is the rainbow meditation?

The rainbow meditation is a mindfulness exercise focusing on the rainbow colours of the chakras of the body. It is easy to do anywhere (except driving or using machinery of course) and it’s free! You can add crystals to the meditation for an added boost.

The rainbow meditation is such a wonderful practice to get into on a regular basis to support your well being and positive mindset.

Both of these support the manifestation of your dreams and desires into your life!

How often can you do the rainbow meditation?

You can do it as often, or as little as you like. Morning and night can be a great practice to get into to get you ready for the coming day and to cleanse you after your day at night time, before going to bed.

I try to do it on a weekly basis, or when I remember, to keep me on track toward my dreams and to keep my mind and body clear and positive.

What are some of the positive benefits of this practice?

I instantly feel better and refreshed after doing this as a short meditation and using it helps to clear and balance my chakras, which benefits my spiritual and physical health and increases my energy. The meditation is relaxing and soothing. Even if you notice little difference in how you feel at the very least, you could feel more relaxed.

What are chakras?

If you want to know more about what chakras are, there is a lot of good information on the internet or in books. I’m no expert, however have a basic knowledge that they are spiritual energy center’s in the body along the spine and up through your neck, ears, brow and the crown of your head. The chakras correspond to different organs and parts of the body and keeping them clear and balanced supports health and wellbeing of your body, mind and spirit.

Where can I learn more about chakras?

It’s ideal to read up about and learn more about what chakra’s are. Your 7 chakras explained – plus how to tell if they’re blocked blog post by Rachel Jacoby Zolden (Wellandgood.com, August 2, 2018) is a good place to start. This article provides easy to read information about chakras, what they are, how to tell if they’re blocked and how to cleanse them.

Do your own research about cleansing your chakras

It’s also a good idea to do an internet search to learn different ways of keeping these clear and balanced, and then incorporate a style that works for you into your weekly routine.

It took me time to do this practice on a regular basis and to see results in how I felt. I had a chakra clearing cd in my car and a little chakra clearing book near my bed for a long time. Over time, I got into the practice of regularly clearing my chakras using the rainbow meditation.

Find a practice that suits and interests you

It takes time to build something new into your routine so if you forget one week, don’t worry just do it when you remember.  If this type of chakra clearing doesn’t work for you, just choose another way to do it if a practice like this interests you.

For more information about rainbow/ chakra meditations do a google search on the internet- Youtube has some really good meditations.

    3. Yellow chakra (solar plexus chakra) – citrine, yellow jasper. Place crystal between your heart and belly button area.
    4. Green chakra (heart) – rose quartz, Aventurine, Chrysocolla. Place crystal in your heart area for a short time.

Begin your Rainbow clearing meditation by looking at this image.

Prepare yourself for the meditation

    • Find a quiet spot in your house away from noise, phones and distractions for at least 15 minutes
    • You could also do this meditation walking or standing in nature. I usually do it during my morning walks or in the shower.
    • If you’d like to use crystals during your meditation, collect crystals to use. Examples of ones you could use are above.
    • Sit or lie down in a comfortable position with your feet on the ground.
    • Take 3 deep breaths and close your eyes ( if you feel comfortable to)
    • Imagine white light coming down from the sky and going in through your head and down to your feet and into the earth.

Feel like choosing an oracle card after the meditation?

You might like to pick an oracle card after your meditation now that your feeling clear and relaxed and in a receptive frame of mind. This is a great time to receive a clear message from nature for the rest of your day.

Have a lovely day.
